Freemasonry is much more than just a men’s club.

With a history dating back more than 200 years, it is the oldest and largest existing fraternal organisation in the world with members in every part of the world. Worldwide there are approximately 5 million Freemasons, with some 12,000 residing in Victoria. The principles of freemasonry are based on tolerance, equality, charity, honour, morality and individual self-development. We encourage any man who is attracted by these principles to contact us for an informal chat to find out more.

Jeff DenisonHi – my name is Jeff Denison and I am the District Coordinator looking after the Western Masonic District No.117. As District Coordinator I am responsible for the general administration of the district and to ensure freemasonry stays vital and up to date with society’s values within the West, under the umbrella of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria.

Part of my duty is to assist men who seek to become freemasons and to ensure that they are located in a Lodge that suits their age, character and lifestyle. Some may work night sift and therefore seek a Daylight lodge. Others may have other commitments on certain days and would require a lodge that meets on a specific night.

We strive to add worth to both freemason and non-freemasons alike. We are an institution that has a strong moral guide line with no religious connections.

As part of our philosophy we never discuss politics or religion.
